Shelf life: Sealed, dark: 1–2 years. The aroma fades slowly; it doesn't spoil so much as go quiet.

Storage: Airtight, dark and cool — light bleaches both colour and aroma. Store it like cash: the highest cost per gram in the bar.

Bloom a few threads in a spoon of warm water or milk for a few minutes before they go in — the colour and aroma release fully. A few threads per drink IS the spec; more turns the cup medicinal and burns cost.
