How this figure was derived

Read from
~60–120 kcal / 100 g (typical)
Energy density
60–120 kcal / 100 g
Basis
Per 100 g — a weight. Applying it to a volume would be wrong.
Example, at 30 g
60–120 kcal / 100 g × 30 g ÷ 100 = ≈ 18–36 kcal

This range spans ±33% of its own centre. It is the supplier variation in this product, not a defect in the arithmetic — a figure from your own product label would narrow it.

A planning figure, not a laboratory analysis. It is here so a recipe can be reasoned about, not so it can be declared on a menu.

How energy is derived

Shelf life: Frozen: months. Thawed/opened: refrigerate and use within a few days.

Storage: Freeze for holding; refrigerate the in-use bottle, dated.

  • Passion fruit coolers and alcohol-free drinks
  • Fruit tea and lemonade add-in
  • Strain if very seedy for a clean pour

House-made: halve the fruit and scoop the pulp, pulse briefly only — grinding the seeds turns it bitter — then sieve and stir in ~10% sugar by weight. Sanitized, dated container: 3–5 days refrigerated, or freeze in portions.

Commercial versions are often sweetened — the label is the reference; count it toward added sugar. Naturally very tart, so it balances sweet drinks and lets you dose less syrup.
