Pistachio paste (pure)

Energy: ~600 kcal / 100 g (typical) (planning figure — the product label is the final reference)

Shelf life: Sealed: months, per label. Opened: refrigerate and use within weeks; oil separating on top is normal, off smells are not.

Storage: Cool and dark sealed; refrigerate after opening. Stir the oil layer back in — never pour it off, that is the flavour leaving.

• Pistachio hot chocolate and milkshakes
• Richer and shorter-label than pistachio sauce — dose smaller

A true 100% paste has no added sugar — protein and mostly unsaturated fat instead — but at ~600 kcal / 100 g it is dosed by recipe grams. Tree-nut allergen: flag clearly.
