Fruit jam
Brix: ~60–65 °Bx typical of commercial jam (planning figure — the product label is the final reference)
Energy: ~250–280 kcal / 100 g (typical) (planning figure — the product label is the final reference)
Shelf life: Sealed: long, per label. Opened: refrigerate and use within weeks; one mould spot condemns the whole jar.
Storage: Refrigerate after opening; one clean dry spoon per dip — crumbs and double-dipping seed mould.
- Jam tea: a spoon of berry jam melted into hot black tea
- Swirls for milkshakes and yogurt smoothies
- A sweet-fruit layer in frappés
Mostly sugar (~60% and up) — treat a spoon of jam exactly like a pump of syrup against the WHO added-sugar ceiling.
