Storage: Airtight, dark and dry — the deep red colour is part of the product.
- Hot karkadeh
- Iced karkadeh — brew it stronger, pour over ice
- A tart, jewel-red base for alcohol-free drinks and refreshers
Near-boiling water, steep at least 5 minutes — deep crimson and naturally tart. Sweeten to spec; the tartness carries sugar well. For iced, brew double-strength before it meets the ice.
Traditionally associated with a cooling, refreshing effect, and it may lower blood pressure — worth knowing for guests on blood-pressure medication or prone to low pressure. Naturally tart and caffeine-free.
