Recipe library and QR share

Save dial-in recipes and share them by QR code, so a bar team works from one spec. Works offline, and the recipes stay on your device.

An interactive tool in the AlyOps operations suite. It runs entirely in your browser: the figures you enter stay on your device and are not uploaded.

How to use / SOP

Purpose

Give every dial-in recipe a permanent home, and let anyone on the team open the exact recipe on their own phone by scanning a QR code — no typing, no app install. It also scales any saved recipe to a batch, so the ratio you dialled in is the ratio you brew five litres of.

Standard

The QR encodes the recipe directly in the link — nothing is uploaded anywhere, so it works fully offline once the page is installed.

Steps

  1. Save a recipe with its method, dose, yield/water, time and a grind note.
  2. Tap "Share via QR" on any saved recipe to generate a code.
  3. Have a teammate scan it with their phone camera — it opens this page with the recipe pre-loaded.
  4. They can tap "Save to my library" to keep a copy on their own device.
  5. To make a batch, pick a saved recipe under "Scale to a batch", say how much finished drink you need, and it gives the dose from that recipe's own ratio. Enter your measured bed retention there too, or the water it tells you to pour will be short by whatever the bed keeps.

Reading the result

A scanned recipe is read-only until saved — scanning never silently changes anyone's library.

Notes

The QR link contains the full recipe text, so very long notes will produce a denser code that's harder to scan from a distance.
